In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri delivers the last of the rocking chairs to Lady Elaine Fairchilde for her pie restaurant which is located in the rocket. Back with Mister Rogers, Joe Negri plays the guitar and Mister Rogers makes a pretend pie out of bananas and bread.
Mister Rogers explains how coins are used in vending machines. Mr. McFeely finds a puppy. Mister Rogers keeps the puppy until a home is found for him. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday buys a pie from Lady Elaine Fairchilde. Officer Clemmons sings for King Friday. Back with Mister Rogers, he explains how it is good to talk about your feelings. He also explains that people go to work to make money. Office Clemmons finds the puppy’s home.
Mister Rogers, wearing a carpenter’s apron, builds a sign from wood. Chef Brockett brings three pies, each in a different shape. He shows Mister Rogers how turnovers are made. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Chef Brockett gives Grandpere and Bob Dog each a pie. Bob Dog has a cage that he gets into when he is bad. Chef Brockett helps Lady Elaine and X with their restaurant. Back with Mister Rogers, he explains that manners are used to help others feel comfortable.
Mister Rogers repairs a wooden fence. Joe Negri visits and gives Mister Rogers some instructions on the guitar. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Bob Dog has eaten all the pies. Lady Elaine has put him in his cage and ties him up. Bob Dog offers to make toast for the restaurant, so he is released from his cage.
Mister Rogers brings an empty aquarium. Yen Wang visits with two rats which he puts into the aquarium. Dr. Wang explains that the rats are used for experimental purposes so that more can be learned for the benefit of human beings. Although one rat is black and the other is white he says they are the same inside. He demonstrates how he makes the trolley come and go. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin takes Bob Dog to the opening of the new pie restaurant. King Friday is afraid of Bob Dog and orders him to Someplace Else. Donkey Hodie welcomes Bob Dog.
