Mister Rogers finds Bob Trow’s dog and feeds her dog biscuits. He shows a film about two workers fixing the lines under the manhole and talks about safety measures. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Bob Dog is barking at the trolley and Henrietta Pussycat is afraid Bob Dog’s teeth will bite her. Lady Aberlin shares with Henrietta her fear of scissors when she was young. Lady Aberlin tells everyone that the King Friday and Queen Sara have a good secret, but she can’t say what it is yet. Bob Dog fears the secret is to send him away for showing his teeth. Later, Mister Rogers talks about fearing teeth and scissors because we are afraid we might hurt another person.
Mister Rogers meets a horse named Bramble. He feeds the horse carrots and oats. Picture-Picture shows a film about a mare and her colt. Mister Rogers shows human-animal relationships by playing with toy models. In the Neighborhood of Make-King Friday rides a horse and wonders at what age a baby can begin riding. He says that the baby he has in mind is “not here yet.” Daniel provides a carrot for the horse to eat.
Mister Rogers arrives with a blue piece of cardboard with the word “typewriter” on one side and a picture of a typewriter on the other. After talking about words and spelling, Mister Rogers compares the picture of the typewriter to a real typewriter. Mister Rogers types the word “typewriter” on the typewriter his father used when Mister Rogers was a child. He watches a Funny Fast Film of Betty Aberlin making a bed, which he replays for Betty Aberlin when she arrives. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin, King Friday and Queen Sara are listening to a musical group play while an artist draws pictures. While the group sings, the artist draws colorful portraits of the king and queen, a baby, and Noah and his ark. Back with Mister Rogers, Betty Aberlin gives Mister Rogers some doodling she drew. Mister Rogers talks about different ways people can write words.
Mister Rogers names the parts of a model train set and counts the tracks. He asks his viewer to pretend they are a train while he plays music on the piano. Mime Walker arrives and mimes being a train. Then Mister Rogers asks Mime Walker to mime different feelings. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mime Walker visits Daniel as he dusts his clock numbers. Daniel tells Mime Walker that King Friday and Queen Sara have a secret, but nobody knows what it is. Lady Elaine is fearful that the King’s secret is the planning of a zoo with wild animals that will eat all the restaurant’s food. While Lady Elaine and X the Owl hide all the pies, Mime Walker visits with King Friday. The king tells Mime Walker the secret with the instructions that he must not tell anyone. When Mime Walker returns to Lady Elaine he indicates the secret is about a baby. Lady Elaine assumes that this means baby animals.
Mister Rogers examines the zipper on his sweater and shows how it works. He shows an x-ray image of his chest, and a film about being x-rayed. Mister Rogers asks his viewers to pretend they are having an x-ray taken and that they are taking the x-ray. Mister Rogers talks about being prepared for new experiences by knowing how they work and he states that no one can read anyone else’s thoughts. Bob Trow arrives with a model of Bob Dog. He and Mister Rogers talk about Bob Dog being frightened. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Bob Dog is frightened by Lady Elaine’s fantasy of wild animals in the King’s zoo. Lady Elaine tells Corney that the animals may be kept inside the castle. Corney, Lady Elaine, and Bob Dog ask King Friday if the secret is a zoo. King Friday says no. Lady Elaine doesn’t believe him and tries to read his mind. Lady Aberlin arrives and tells Lady Elaine that nobody can see inside people’s heads. King Friday promises to reveal the secret Monday.
