Mister Rogers makes a paper crown. He pretends to send a fancy crown to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe for the expected royal baby. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin places the crown on the castle and looks at gifts for the baby with Edgar. Without telling anyone, Henrietta takes the crown. She wears it, not realizing that it belongs to someone else. Lady Aberlin explains the crown is not hers and since Henrietta was only interested in dressing up, Lady Aberlin offers her some different costumes. Henrietta is happy when she dresses up as a nurse and pretends to care for a baby. Back at the house, Mister Rogers uses a handkerchief to make a pretend baby. In the kitchen, he draws a family on construction paper before Picture Picture shows a film about the letter B. Mister Rogers concludes by singing Many Ways to Say I Love You.
Mister Rogers waits for Mr. McFeely to bring a book that he ordered. He talks about being able to do certain things at certain ages. He builds with blocks, then shows pictures of mothers and babies from the book Mr. McFeely delivered. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, today is the day the royal baby will be born. Vic Miles and Marie Torre from the Neighborhood News wait for news of the big event and take pictures. Everyone finds it hard to wait. The royal baby is born. King Friday announces that the baby is a prince and will be called Prince Tuesday. Back with Mister Rogers, he talks about the difference between a pretend puppet baby and a real baby. He says when a new baby comes, the older child needs special time to talk to parents.
Mister Rogers brings discarded pieces of wood to build with and gets a splinter, which he removes. He talks about how all children have accidents and worries. In the back yard, Mister Rogers is sanding the blocks when Bob Trow stops by with a drawing he made of King Friday’s castle. Mister Rogers has the idea to send the drawing as a present for the newborn Prince Tuesday. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, gifts for the Prince are arriving from all over the world. Lady Elaine is jealous of the many presents being delivered for Prince Tuesday. Joey Hollingsworth arrives with a gift for the Prince as well as one for everyone else in the Neighborhood — including Lady Elaine. She says she is better than the baby and deserves the gifts. Lady Aberlin explains that Lady Elaine is older and better able to deal with her feelings of jealousy. Lady Elaine is happy to get a gift that is just for her. Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about the lonely feelings that Lady Elaine might have been feeling. He concludes by singing A Lonely Kind of Thing.
Mister Rogers sets up a watch-cleaning machine in preparation for a visit from Milton Gitelman, a watch repairman. Mr. Gitelman demonstrates how he repairs and cleans watches. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, X the Owl and Joey Hollingsworth go to the castle, hoping to see the new baby. Nurse Miller explains that Queen Sara and the baby will be able to have visitors next week. Henrietta, who is helping Nurse Miller, shows X and Joey a photo of the mother and child. Mr. Rogers discusses a child’s curiosity about a parent’s experience in the hospital.
Mister Rogers arrives with a mask and after putting it on for a brief second, he talks about how children sometimes have mixed feelings about seeing others in masks. Mr. McFeely stops by with a raccoon in a cage which he shows to Mister Rogers on the front porch. They feed the raccoon which was borrowed from the zoo. Mr. McFeely also delivers an invitation for Mister Rogers to attend a dance rehearsal at Betty’s Aberlin’s theater. At Betty’s Little Theater, Jewel Walker is rehearsing a performance with three friends. Their performance is about a family of raccoons preparing for bedtime. After rehearsing, they all put on their costumes and perform again. Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about bedtime before singing Please Don’t Think It’s Funny.
