Lady Elaine won’t be quiet and invites Officer Clemmons to the Museum-Go-Round to sing. After his song, Lady Elaine wants quiet so they can bird watch. Two boys, Josh Van Buskirk and Walter Schrading, visit Mister Rogers to talk about bird watching.
Mister Rogers finds a hidden object in a picture of the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. He shows what he has in his briefcase and talks about his interest in his father’s briefcase. He has a puzzle of the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Daniel has found a toy horse in his basement. He shows Lady Aberlin how to pull a string to make the horse say, “I know.” Lady Aberlin shows the horse to the neighborhood. Corney tells Lady Aberlin that he manufactured Horse a long time ago. Daniel is worried about whether the Platypus family will return.
Mister Rogers has with him a large toy camel and talks about camels. He shows a film of himself riding a camel. He goes to Betty Aberlin’s Little Theater. She explains that the Polka Dot Players, who were supposed to come today, won’t be there. She must make some entertainment as a substitute for the expected audience. She, Bob Trow, and Joe Negri make up a play. Mister Rogers talks about noise that can be startling.
Mister Rogers shows a reversible coat that Chef Brockett lent to him. He takes the lining out of his raincoat. He goes to Brockett’s Bakery to return the coat. He buys a pineapple upside-down cake. He then puts his sweater on upside down. Betty Aberlin brings a Cinderella book with no words. While Mister Rogers looks at the pictures, Betty sings a Cinderella song. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Chef Brockett brings King Friday an upside-down cake. The king doesn’t like the name and decrees that everyone should say what he doesn’t mean. He makes Queen Sara cry and offends Miss Paulificate until they understand that he is saying the opposite of what he means. The king changes the rule.
Mister Rogers demonstrates a machine that blows a stream of air on which a ping pong ball can be balanced. He shows pictures of the puppets in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Mr. McFeely forgets to bring the dog to Mister Rogers as he promised. He says he will bring the dog next week. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Queen Sara sends Bob Dog to Henrietta with a note asking her to babysit. He forgets to give her the note when he has a chance to ride in a floating rocking chair. When he remembers, he rushes to Henrietta’s house and finds she just left for the weekend. Lady Aberlin offers to babysit for the prince with Bob Dog.
