Mister Rogers talks about different places in the world and uses a big map to illustrate how one can travel and then return. Mr. McFeely shows up with a picture of Dan Kamin, a mime artist who arrives a few minutes later. He walks in place creating the illusion that he has gone far away. Mister Rogers draws a K on a piece of paper, calls it K-person and gives it a ride on Trolley. Later, Mister Rogers returns to the big map and moves Trolley around the world. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mr. McFeely makes a speedy delivery for cousin Mary Owl who is coming to visit X the Owl. Dan Kamin offers to help but drops the delivery in X the Owl’s tree. They talk to Henrietta Pussycat, who reassures Dan that it is okay, but he is still concerned about his mistake. Dan meets Ana Platypus and uses mime to introduce himself. Dan and Ana play with bubbles and wonder where the bubbles go. He borrows the Platypus plunger to try to retrieve the delivery.
Mister Rogers learns from Mr. McFeely where he can go to see an ambulance. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin teaches King Friday’s birds how to march. Cousin Steven Owl arrives and says he is looking for a tunnel. Mister Rogers uses a map to find the ambulance and then experiences some of the care that paramedics offer.
Mister Rogers enters carrying a basketball and goes back outside to shoot some baskets. He wonders about the height of the basket and gets a yardstick from his closet to measure the height of his basketball hoop. Later, Marilyn Barnett visits Mister Rogers and they exercise together. She explains specific exercises that she teaches to wheelchair athletes. Mister Rogers and Marilyn go to see some of her students, who are in wheelchairs, play basketball. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin is measuring while cousin Steve Owl bounces a basketball to test the sound of the ground. Lady Elaine Fairchilde and cousin Mary Owl are studying old maps in the museum map room, and cousin Mary found a piece of paper that mentions a secret tunnel.
Mister Rogers shows a piece of plastic pipe to his TV neighbors. He talks about tunnels and uses the pipe to make a pretend tunnel for a small car. Mr. McFeely shows up with a video of him driving his car through a car wash. Maggie Stewart stops by with an orange for Mister Rogers. Later, Mister Rogers reads a book entitled “A Walk With Abuela.” Abuela means grandmother in Spanish. He says books can be good friends. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, cousin Mary Owl talks to King Friday about the possibility of an old tunnel in their neighborhood. Lady Aberlin and Mayor Maggie both find pieces to the puzzle about the tunnel. The message says that the tunnel was covered up by roots of a great big tree. Since Henrietta Pussycat’s and X the Owl’s tree is the oldest and largest in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the searchers think the tunnel might be somewhere near it.
Mister Rogers demonstrates how to make a fan out of construction paper. Chuck Aber brings over a small backhoe, explains how it works, and lets Mister Rogers operate it. Later, Mister Rogers says it is fun to imagine things in make-believe and encourages people to use their imagination in pretending. Mr. McFeely shows up with a video entitled “How People Make Tortilla Chips.” Mister Rogers talks about going away and coming back. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin brings a fan, a flashlight, and a measuring tape for X the Owl, Cousin Mary Owl, and Cousin Steve Owl, who are exploring an entrance to the tunnel. Mr. Aber says he has found out that the entrance to the tunnel should be on the other side of the wall behind the Platypus; mound, and that is where the owls finally emerge. Mr. Aber enters the second opening and comes out the first one. Mr. Aber and Lady Aberlin go to tell King Friday and the trolley what they found.
