A visit from Ella Jenkins

Mister Rogers talks about how he can use a tube from a sweeper as a tunnel for a little car and then pretends that he is an elephant while singing “We Are Elephants.” Ella Jenkins stops by to discuss the Indian Hindi greeting she learned from a friend that shows respect for others. Ella and Mister Rogers sing a balloon song, play kazoos, and sing “London Bridge is Falling Down.” Mister Rogers says that he has learned a lot from Ella because he likes her so much.In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin, with her wind machine, follows a strong wind to the museum where Lady Elaine is vacuuming. They talk with H.J. Elephant, who is taking boomerang lessons from Lady Elaine. Robert Troll asks H.J. some census questions, and Lady Elaine comments that everyone is different. Lady Aberlin and Robert discuss the ways of telling people you love them. Mister Rogers and Mr. McFeely discuss a computer printout, and Mr. McFeely says he is having some trouble with his computerized delivery system. Mr. McFeely and Mister Rogers lace shoe laces through construction paper that has holes punched in it. Mister Rogers talks about the many ways of learning and shows a video of children and adults learning from each other.
