Arthur visits the Neighborhood

Mister Rogers arrives with an Arthur puppet and a collection of drawings by Marc Brown, creator of Arthur. The drawings show various scenes of Arthur visiting the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. At his studio, Mr. Brown is working on a new Arthur story when Mister Rogers stops by for a visit. On a large sketch pad, Mr. Brown demonstrates how he draws Arthur before going on to describe the detailed process involved in making an animated program. Together, he and Mister Rogers watch a segment from an Arthur episode called Arthur Meets Mister Rogers. As Mister Rogers is leaving, he meets Michael Yarmush who provides the voice for the animated Arthur. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Arthur plays with Prince Tuesday. Lady Aberlin introduces Arthur to X the Owl, Henrietta Pussycat, and Lady Elaine, who squirts them as they walk over to Daniel’s Clock. Lady Elaine is very pleased to find that Arthur wants to visit the Museum-Go-Round as soon as he is finished playing at Daniel’s clock. Back at the house, Mister Rogers spends more time looking at the pictures drawn by Marc Brown before Mr. McFeely stops by with a videotape about how people make traffic signals.
