Dr. Platypus’ training trip

Mister Rogers arrives with a simple model airplane which he puts together. He talks about how he became frustrated when he was a boy and tried to put together a very detailed model. Don Williamson stops by with his large remote-controlled airplane. Mr. Williamson goes to a nearby field and demonstrates how his plane flies. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the Platypus family is preparing to leave for Australia. Although King Friday has not given them permission to go, he agrees to help launch the Platypus family’s flying machine. With the King’s assistance, the Platypus family departs on a 21-day trip to Australia. Back at the house, Mister Rogers fills a balloon with helium and shows how it rises. He talks about losing a helium balloon once when he was a boy.
