Popsicle creativity

Mister Rogers shows popsicle-stick crafts made by children. Mister Rogers and Bob Trow make creations with clay and popsicle sticks. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Robert Troll and Daniel get three sticks from the Trolley, which they pretend are drumsticks before using with a handkerchief to make a doll. Lady Elaine learns that doctors don’t poke at children with sticks. Lady Elaine pretends she is the doctor and gives Robert Troll a checkup. Back at the house, Mister Rogers explains that sticks do not move themselves — they require people to move them. Using a television set that Bob Trow has made from clay and sticks, they watch a short, animated film about popsicle sticks. After the film, Mister Rogers talks about different ways of talking and Bob Trow sings Troll Talk. Mister Rogers concludes for the day by singing It’s You I Like.
