Tunnels

Mister Rogers shows a piece of plastic pipe to his TV neighbors. He talks about tunnels and uses the pipe to make a pretend tunnel for a small car. Mr. McFeely shows up with a video of him driving his car through a car wash. Maggie Stewart stops by with an orange for Mister Rogers. Later, Mister Rogers reads a book entitled “A Walk With Abuela.” Abuela means grandmother in Spanish. He says books can be good friends. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, cousin Mary Owl talks to King Friday about the possibility of an old tunnel in their neighborhood. Lady Aberlin and Mayor Maggie both find pieces to the puzzle about the tunnel. The message says that the tunnel was covered up by roots of a great big tree. Since Henrietta Pussycat’s and X the Owl’s tree is the oldest and largest in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the searchers think the tunnel might be somewhere near it.
